Meet Pat Mannix - Pat has been a horseman all his life in the saddle, but now at age 76 he is determined to master the skill of carriage driving.

Beauwood Stud is located at Goulburn NSW (2 hours south of Sydney / 1 hour north of Canberra) – a boutique stud devoted to the breeding, raising and education of horses and ponies to carriage driving.

We specialise in the breeding of English Hackney horses and ponies with two outstanding stallions at stud – Beauwood Strauss and Eyrie Houdini. Recently, we have diversified our breeding program to include Hackney/Warmblood crossed horses for harness as well as ridden dressage and performance horse prospects.

Max Pearce is an experienced and qualified Carriage Driving Instructor, offering instruction for beginners up to and including experienced drivers wanting to fine tune their skills.

Max has been breeding and educating harness horses for over 30 years and is well known throughout Australia for his expertise and competition experience, both in the show ring and in combined driving events.
